Ab. Solovieva et al., Porphyrins immobilized on polymeric supports as sensitizers of the photogeneration of singlet oxygen, RUSS J PH C, 74, 2000, pp. S92-S97
The effect of a polymeric matrix on the photogeneration of singlet oxygen f
ollowed by its migration into the gas phase in systems containing porphyrin
s in the protonated form was revealed. It was shown that the activity of th
e porphyrins-photosensitizers increases with temperature. For comparison, t
he specific (per porphyrin molecule under identical photoexcitation conditi
ons) rates of the photogeneration of singlet oxygen in layers of porphyrins
in the protonated form precipitated on the quartz surface were obtained, w
hich were found to be from one to two orders of magnitude lower than those
for the protonated porphyrin-polymer systems.
