Abstract
The isotherms and isosteric heats for the sorption of water and isopropanol on polyvinyltrimethylsilane (PVTMS) in the temperature range from 26 to 15 0 degreesC were calculated on the basis of nonlinear equilibrium gas chroma tographic data. The dependence of the heat of sorption on the filling of PV TMS with a sorbate was discussed. The mechanism of interaction between the polymer and the sorbates depends both on the nature and amount sorbed of th e sorbate.
