The purpose of this paper is to propose an efficient iteration-by-subdomain
method to solve the nonlinear incompressible Navier Stokes/Euler coupled e
quations. The convergences are proven both in the differential case and in
their spectral collocation counterpart. Detailed analysis shows that the it
erative algorithms converge with a rate independent of the polynomial degre
e. The numerical results presented are in good agreement with the theoretic
al investigation. A validation study is carried out by simulating the ow pa
