Abstract
In the title compound, [Zn(NCS)(2)(C12H16N3O)(2)], the Zn-II ion has a dist orted tetrahedral coordination. It is bonded to two thiocyanate and two pyr idyl N atoms. The metal ion and the two thiocyanate ligands lie on a mirror plane with the Zn-N-py and average Zn-N-NCS bond distances being 2.036 (2) and 1.931 (4) Angstrom, respectively.
