The isobaric analogue state of the ground state of the halo nucleus He-6 in
Li-6 has been studied in a pionic fusion experiment at the CELSIUS storage
ring facility in Uppsala, Sweden. The Li-6 ions were detected in a zero-de
gree spectrometer situated in the fourth quadrant of the CELSIUS ring. Diff
erential cross-sections were measured at two energies corresponding to E-c.
m.=1.2 and 1.9 MeV above the absolute threshold. The total cross sections a
re sigma = 228 +/- 6(-0)(+70) nb and 141 +/- 12(-0)(+42) nb respectively.
