Abstract
Measurements of the individual multiplicities of pi (+), pi (-) and pi (0) produced in the deep-inelastic scattering of 27.5 GeV positrons on hydrogen have been performed at the HERMES experiment. Moreover, the influence of t he nuclear medium on hadron production and quark propagation processes has been studied by semi-inclusive production on deuterium and nitrogen targets .
