Abstract
The authors demonstrate simultaneous dispersion and dispersion-slope compen sation of 240km of NZDSF from 1530 to 1560nm using a higher-order-mode-fibr e compensator. With this compensator, 40Gbits/s operation is achieved acros s the band, in contrast to a several-nanometre window using commercial DCF.
