Abstract
For the first time, Cryptosporidium sp. oocysts were identified in fec al and intestinal samples from free-ranging marine turtles, Chelonia m ydas, from the Hawaiian Islands. The oocysts produced positive reactio ns with commercial test kits recommended for the detection of human-in fectious waterborne oocysts of Cryptosporidium parvum.
