Abstract
The quenching of terbium nitrate luminescence by the anionic dye eosin in t he presence of lithium perchlorate in sulfolane solutions was examined. The temperature dependence of terbium nitrate luminescence in sulfolane soluti ons in the presence of perchlorate anions was studied. The energy required for the replacement of a water molecule in the coordination sphere of the T b(3+) ion by a solvent molecule in an electrolyte solution was determined.
