Abstract
Isotopically selective IR multiphoton dissociation (MPD) of SF6 in a pulsed gas dynamic flow was studied. The dependence of the yield of the product S F4 on the frequency of CO2 laser radiation exciting SF6 molecules was obtai ned. The S-34 enrichment coefficient in SF4 was measured. The enrichment fa ctor was found to agree well with the value predicted from comparison of sp ectral dependences for the SF4 yield from (SF6)-S-32 and (SF6)-S-34. The ob tained results are compared with the data on SF6 dissociation in a low-temp erature cell and in a molecular beam.
