Variability in centred house-of-cards mutation models

Convergence of variability in phenotypic models with balance between select ion and mutation is analysed. The mutation assumed occurs with weak probabi lity and brings down the evolutionary process built up by selection around the mean in the population. Gaussian approximations are used.
