High temperature investigations of a metallization process were performed f
or liquid ternary CuTlTe2, CuAsTe2, TlAsTe2, CuTlSe2, CuAsSe2 and TlAsSe2 s
emiconductors. Electrical conductivity sigma (T) and thermo-e.m.f. S(T) mea
surements were used for this purpose. Based on obtained data the values of
activation energies have been calculated. Temperature dependences of activa
tion energies have been presented in a graphical view. It was found that th
e metallization process occurs in a certain temperature range for each of t
he investigated systems. The ideas based on the percolation theory have bee
n applied for explanation of the obtained results. (C) 2000 Elsevier Scienc
