Abstract
The Al-27 MAS NMR spectra of amorphous alumina exhibit three resonances res ulting from aluminium in four-, five-, and six-coordination, whereas sample s containing crystalline particles of bayerite, gibbsite, and boehmite show only a single resonance associated with six-coordinate aluminium.
