Abstract
O atoms can attack either the double bond or the side chain of an alkylethe ne. LIF (laser-induced fluorescence) detection of O(P-3) and OH allows sepa rate measurement of the rates of the two types of reactions. The addition t o the double bond is by far the more important reaction.
