Abstract
This paper deals with the theoretical analysis of plasma phenomena in the k eyhole during laser welding. The mathematical model based on the kinetic eq uation for optical discharge is presented. The influence of the beam intens ity and the keyhole radius on the plasma properties is shown. The temperatu res of the plasma electrons, delivered by the model, correspond to the expe rimental data.
