Abstract
The determination of Po-210 in phosphoric acid reagent by alpha-ray spectro
metry using extraction chromatographic resin is presented. The decontaminat
ion factors of interference elements were measured. It was observed that HC
l, HNO3, ascorbic acid, thioacetamide and Cu were free from Po-210 but ph c
ontain small amounts of Po-210. Po-210 in phosphoric acid samples was range
d from <8 to 2.4 Bq/l. The detection limit of Po-210 in 50 mi of phosphoric
acid is 8 mBq/l with a counting time of 1 day under counting efficiency of
30%.
