In this paper we consider a three-dimensional diffraction problem in which
multiple interfering spherical coaxial wavefronts such as those produced in
a Fabry-Perot type of interferometer are diffracted by a circular aperture
. Numerical calculations are made with the Rayleigh-Sommerfeld diffraction
formula in the Fresnel approximation. The beams are considered monochromati
c and mutually coherent. The asymptotic solution of the problem is presente
