Poly- and oligo(oxymethylcyclocarbosiloxanes) with variable disilaalkane fr
agments in a cycle and the varying size of the cycle were synthesized by th
e heterofunctional polycondensation of dichloro- and dihydroxyorganocyclosi
loxaalkanes. The structure of the synthesized polymers was studied by H-1 a
nd Si-29 NMR spectroscopy; the molecular mass characteristics of these poly
mers were estimated, and their phase transition temperatures were determine
d. The effect of the ratio of SiO : SiC groups on the capability of oligo-
and poly-oxy(organocyclosiloxaalkane)diyls for self-organization in bulk an
d in ultrathin films was investigated.
