This article presents the synthesis and the characterization of the coordin
ate compounds of Co(ll) with the benzoyl propeonic acid. As a result of the
interaction of the cobalt acetate Co(CH3COO)(2). 4 H2O with the benzoyl pr
opeonic acid beta (p-chlorine-benzoyl) there hare been obtained two differe
nt coordinate: compounds depending on the nature of the solvent used that h
as been used. The structure of the synthetized coordinate compounds differs
in accordance with the nature of the solvent that has been used. The chara
cterization of the two coordinate compounds of Co(ll) with this ligand has
been achieved by the spectroscopy UV-VIS, IR by the thermogravimetrical ana
lysis and by the diffraction of the X rays.
