Abstract
The present original research shows with the evolution of the hydration - h ydrolyse and hardening processes in the 3CaO.SiO2 - H2O system in the prese nce of some plasticizers (fluidisers), belonging to the sulphonate naphthal ene formaldehyde class - FLUBET and ROMATAN. The kinetics of the hydration- hydrolysis processes in the 3CaO.SiO2-H2O system was studied by X-ray diffr action rind thermal analysis. The mechanical strengths, in presence of 0.1- 1% proportions of plasticizers were determined too. As consequence of the p lasticizer admixtures the influence on the hydration-hydrolysis processes e volution of the formed hydrate compounds is modified too. This evolution is observed and it is shown to depend on the nature and content of the plasti cizers and the reaction time. The retardation or acceleration influence of the plasticizer admixtures on the kinetics of the hydration-hydrolysis proc esses, is due to the strong adsorption of these admixtures on the surface o f the anhydrous or hydrated particles from the system. This influence is al so appearing during of hydrate compounds evolution (as structure and compos ition). As a result of these complex actions in the 3CaO.SiO-H2O system, is the mechanical strength is favourably influence by certain proportions of plasticizer admixtures (0.1% FLUBET).
