The complex oxide Nd3.33Sm3.71EU3.33Gd3.6Ge2B6O34 belongs to the trigonal s
ystem: space group P3(1), a = 9.810 Angstrom, c = 25.847 Angstrom, Z = 3, V
= 2154.1 Angstrom (3), rho (calc)=6.63 g/cm(3). The distribution of the Nd,
Sm, Eu, and Gd atoms over positions in the solid solution was determined.
The structural distortions caused by the redistribution of Ln-O bond length
s and by changes in coordination numbers were revealed.
