Abstract
The effect of diluents on scandium extraction from hydrochloric solution by tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) was studied. The details of scandium partition are analyzed given that liquid-liquid phase separation occurs in the extra ct and that aliphatic hydrocarbons are used as diluents. One-parameter corr elations of log D-Sc with more than 80 parameters of the diluents are consi dered. Of these, the statistically best correlations are selected.
