Abstract
Reaction of tri-O-acetyl-D-glucal with different alcohols, in the presence of catalytic amounts of ferric chloride, led to the corresponding 2,3-unsat urated glycosides. The influence of solvent, temperature and amount of cata lyst on the reaction was investigated.
