Abstract
New synthetic strategies to prepare natural drimanes and monocarbocyclic te rpenoids from (-)-sclareol (2) are reported. The preparation of natural 9,1 1-drimen-8 alpha -ol (12) and the first enantiospecific synthesis of marine metabolite fulvanin 2 (1) are described.
