Abstract
On the basis of Betti's theorem, the constitutive relation of multicrack ro ckmass which considers the effect of crack-closure is developed in this pap er. Meanwhile, based on mathematical elasticity, the paper gives an analyti cal formula for the compression transmitting coefficient and the shearing t ransmitting coefficient. A damage evolution equation of rock-mass is presen ted and an engineering application is given as well.
