Abstract
2,2-Bis(diethylamino)-2-ethylium-1-dithiocarboxylate (1a) was S-iminated by [N-(p-tolylsulfonyl)imino]phenyliodinane to provide a novel inner salt (4a ) that formally possesses a thione-S-imide structure (>C=S=NR) as one of th e canonical structures.
