Laryngeal tuberculosis: an important diagnosis

The incidence of laryngeal tuberculosis is increasing worldwide. To ensure early diagnosis it is important for physicians and otolaryngologists to rec ognize its cardinal signs and symptoms. We present two recent cases of lary ngeal tuberculosis that presented to our department. We outline potential p itfalls in diagnosis, and highlight the importance of obtaining a tissue di agnosis. The literature is reviewed, and the treatment options outlined.
