Abstract
A new approach to functionally embellished cis-hydrindane derivative 2 0, embodying the complete stereochemical pattern of ring-E of reserpin e, from a readily available tricyclo[5.2.1.0(2,6)]decan-10-one precurs or via Haller-Bauer cleavage is described.
