Abstract
The catalytic activity of N,N-ethylenebis (salicylideneaminato) copper (II)
during intramolecular cyclopropanation of unsaturated alpha -diazo-beta -k
etoester has been studied. The resulting bicyclic intermediate is the precu
rsor of A ring synthon of vitamin D.
