Abstract
This article proposes a framework for understanding follower compliance. Th e framework draws from the leadership, influence, and motivation literature s to identify follower-based influence triggers and the intervening variabl es that lead to follower compliance. The article discusses the proposed rel ationships and provides some directions for future research.
