Abstract
An analysis is made of the design of test equipment for checking complex ob jects which frequently exceeds the complexity of the monitored objects. A g iver? class of fault is identified and localized in a synthesized self-moni toring apparatus, and this makes it possible to reduce the time taken to re store its operation and to increase the reliability of its operation.
