Abstract
We consider theoretical application of Boolean matrices with a covering met hod to solve problems associated with determining the state of discrete dev ices during diagnostic testing. The solution is accompanied hy mathematical proofs and examples. We present conditions for optimization of Boolean mat rix coverings and we present all algorithm that makes it possible to obtain a minimal covering.
