Abstract
The capillary electrophoretic separation of components in propolis, a commonly used natural medicine, was investigated. Optimum conditions f or the separation were established. Photodiode-array detection permitt ed the rapid identification of the components in the samples analysed. The determination of these components, including caffeic acid, dimeth ylcaffeic acid, isoferulic acid and quercetin, was performed on a comm ercial propolis sample.
