Observing radio waves by light - New measurement technology integrating radio and light waves

We are now living in an amazing "age of radio waves" and enjoying its many benefits. While a human being cannot feel the presence of radio waves with the five senses, radio waves can still be observed by a variety of measurem ent methods. Among these, technology for observing radio waves using light has recently become the focus of much attention. This article introduces th is measurement technology and presents some examples of its application.
