Abstract
A simple, one-pot procedure for the preparation of 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol monocarbamate (MCF) has been developed. This procedure represents the most efficient method for preparing MCF published to date, and it is amenable t o the large scale laboratory production of this biologically relevant metab olite of felbamate.
