Abstract
Recently described(1), easily accessible N-acyl-alpha -triphenylphosphoniog lycinates react smoothly with activated carbonyl compounds or enamines in t he presence of a base (DBU or Et3N) yielding the corresponding alpha -funct ionaIized glycine derivatives.
