The Li-6(t, He-3)He-6 charge-exchange reaction leading to the weakly-bound
nucleus He-6 has been studied at 336 MeV. Beyond the strong peaks for the k
nown ground state (J(pi) = 0(+)) and first excited state (J(pi) = 2(+), E-x
= 1.8 MeV), a broad asymmetric structure around E-x similar to 5 MeV has b
een observed. The angular distribution of this structure exhibits the domin
ance of a DeltaL = 1 transition, indicating the existence of intruder state
s at low excitation energies in He-6. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All ri
