Abstract
Subband filter banks have attracted much attention during the past few year s. In this paper, an efficient design algorithm, which leads to linear-phas e paraunitary filter banks with pairwise mirror-image frequency responses, is revisited and further studied. New lattice structures are presented to e xtend the algorithm to the case where the number (M) of channels is odd. De sign examples of filter banks with 3 and 5 channels are presented.
