Retropatellar autologous cartilage-bone transplantation

In a 32 years old professional handball layer, the micro-traumata typical o f this game led to retropatellar cartilage lesion, which became sympthomati c following an distortion-impact trauma. Since the patient remaind symptoma tic after initial conservative treatment as well as arthroscopic chondropla stic, osteo-chondral transplantation was performed. There was a good functi onal result 6 months after surgery.
