Metering bypass dust with rotor weighfeeders

The plant which came on stream at Gmunder Zement in July 1998 to relieve th e circulating chlorides within the kiln system has prevented operational ma lfunctions caused by coating in the preheater. It is now also possible to u se secondary fuels and secondary raw materials with higher chloride content s, such as fluidized bed ash and plastics. Rotor weighfeeder systems have p roved successful for silo extraction and gravimetric metering with integral pneumatic conveying.
