Abstract
We establish a general link between the Kauffman bracket skein algebra of a ny parallelized, oriented compact surface F and two algebras built from the first homotopy group of the surface and its first homology group respectiv ely. (C) 2000 Editions scientifiques et medicalcs Elsevier SAS.
