Abstract
A,carboxylate complex, [Ru(bpy)(2)(CO)(COO)], was prepared by the addition of CO2 to the doubly reduced species, [Ru-I(bpy)(bpy(-.))(CO)], in CH3CN. T he IR and UV-vis spectra of [Ru(bpy)(2)(CO)(COO)] show a marked cation and solvent dependence. Copyright (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
