Abstract
The procedure previously reported for the radiosynthesis of [I-123]beta CIT was modified in order to improve both radiochemical yield and purity of be ta CIT (2 beta -carbomethoxy-3 beta (4-iodophenyl) tropane) to be injected for SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) analysis imaging. Th e overall procedure, involving a HPLC purification step, results in quite g ood and reproducible yields of a highly purified tracer. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
