Hh. Funke et al., INFLUENCE OF ADSORBED MOLECULES ON THE PERMEATION PROPERTIES OF SILICALITE MEMBRANES, Journal of membrane science, 129(1), 1997, pp. 77-82
Gas permeation through zeolite membranes can be extremely sensitive to
organics or moisture, adsorbed from feed impurities or from the atmos
phere during storage, and thus, thermal pretreatment is necessary to o
btain reliable permeation rates. Altered adsorption properties of the
external surface and selective pore blockage might have caused the obs
erved trends.
