Abstract
Covalent attachment of trifluoromethyl ketone catalyst to a solid support s uch as silica gel increased the stability of catalyst dramatically, so solv ing an intrinsic problem of dioxirane-mediated epoxidation of alkenes catal ysed by ketones.
