A novel bis(guanidiniums) receptor for the catalytic cleavage of phosphosdi ester was prepared and self-assembly architecture through hydrogen bonds an d electrostatic interactions among the bis(guanidiniums) receptor, the sulf ate anion and water molecule was revealed by X-ray crystallographic analysi s.
