Coordinating development with the cell cycle in Caulobacter

During the Caulobacter life cycle, the timing of DNA replication, cell divi sion and development is precisely coordinated. Recent work has begun to unr avel the complex regulatory networks that couple these processes. A key asp ect of these regulatory networks is the dynamic localization of multiple hi stidine protein kinases that control a master response regulator, thus driv ing downstream pathways.
