Abstract
A 41-year-old male developed a generalized drug eruption following sulfamid e therapy, with progressive albino-like generalized cutaneous depigmentatio n. Electron microscopy showed the absence of melanocytes, and clear cells w ith Langerhans cell characteristics were seen along the basal layer. The pr esent case constitutes a unique reaction to sulfamides not previously repor ted in the literature. Copyright (C) 2000 S. Karger AG, Basel.
