Abstract
In this paper a very simple and fast procedure for the simultaneous determi nation of Amitraz and Cymiazole residues in natural honey is presented. Amitraz including its metabolite were converted to 2,4-Dimethylanilin in a watery solution of honey through acid hydrolysis using a closed vessel at p H 1 for 1 h at 50 degreesC and GC-MS or LC-MS-MS respectively. The intact C ymiazol is detected simultaneously under these conditions. The percentage r ecovery of the addition experiments with 0,1 mg/kg to 1 mg/kg is 94 to 124 % in the GC-MS and 95 to 116 % in the LC-MS-MS respectively. The determinat ion limit is 0,01 mg/kg.
