Abstract
This article reviews the history of, mechanisms of action of, clinical pres entations of, and management of patients acutely exposed to 3,4-methylenedi oxymediamphetamine ("ecstasy"), gamma -hydroxybutyrate (GHB), GHB prodrugs, and ketamine. These agents are promoted on the internet and at dance clubs known as "raves." Their use has become increasingly popular.
